Homemade Hamburger Buns

Homemade hamburger buns that are super simple, super delicious, and who wouldn’t want to tell everyone, “yes, I made the buns”.

These are made easily with frozen bread dough and can be made days (even weeks if you freeze) ahead of time!

Here’s how you do it:

Cut some frozen bread dough into six slices.  Lay them flat, brush lightly with olive oil and cover with a clean cloth.

Allow the dough to rise and double in size.

Gently turn each round, letting it deflate a little.  Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Next, cover and allow to rise again.

When the buns are doubled, place the pan in a preheated, 350 degree oven and bake about 20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.  Remove from the oven and cool.

Now is the time you can freeze them or put them in the refrigerator until you’re ready for the burgers.  And when you’re ready for the burgers…

Cut each roll in half using a sharp bread knife.

Now, crush 2 cloves of garlic into about 2/3 cup of olive oil and let it sit for a few minutes., then brush it over all sides of each roll piece.

Now place the rolls on the grill or in the oven and gently toast until they are lightly browned.

These amazing buns are now ready to fill with your favorite burger and condiments. Now enjoy!

This is really useful. My kids usually hate store bought hamburger buns, maybe they will eat these!
