Turkey French Dip Sandwiches

Have a lot of left over turkey?  We certainly did.  Even though we asked our guests to make themselves doggy bags,  I think they were far too polite!  We still have so much!!  We froze some and with some we made French dip sandwiches!

What you need:

How to Do it:

Cut the bread slices in half and toast it all.  Spread ½ tablespoon of cranberry sauce on every slices.

Make the au jus using 2 cups of water instead of 3 cups.  Chop up some of the turkey skin and simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes with the skin, sage and garlic powder.

Slice the turkey across the grain and place it in a shallow pan.  Pour about ½ of the au jus over it.  Simmer until the meat is hot.  Put turkey slices on each of four slices of bread.  Put the second slice of bread on top of that.

Pour the sauce left from heating the meat back into the sauce pan.  Divide the sauce into four small dishes for dipping.

Serve each sandwich with dipping sauce – dip and enjoy!
